World Water Day 2008

This year's World Water Day celebrations observed on 22nd March, 2008, coincided with the international year of sanitation with a challenge to action on crisis affecting more than one out of three people on the planet. The UN secretary-general, in a message for the World Water day, called for political will and action to make a measurable difference in peoples' lives around the world.
